Sean Colston is a Fort Worth criminal defense attorney with more than three decades of experience in criminal law and an extensive background handling serious felony cases. Before entering private defense practice, Sean served for 26 years as a prosecutor in the Tarrant County and Dallas County Criminal District Attorney's Offices, where he handled cases at nearly every level of the criminal justice system.
During his career as a prosecutor, Sean advanced from misdemeanor and juvenile prosecution to serving as a gang prosecutor, felony court chief, and ultimately Chief of the Family Violence Unit. He has tried more than 75 murder cases to a jury and prosecuted numerous capital and other high-profile cases. His work has been featured on national television programs including 48 Hours Mystery, Snapped, Forensic Files, and The Queen Latifah Show.
Today, Sean uses that extensive courtroom experience to defend individuals facing criminal charges in Texas. His practice is rooted in trial advocacy, with particular experience in serious felony and murder cases, while representing clients across a broad range of criminal matters.
